Berea, Sept 14 — Active participation of youths on issues which affect them play a vital role to their personal growth and community development, says Selemela Learning Network (SLN) Chief Services Officer Ms. Zanele Selebalo.
Ms. Selebalo made the remarks on Saturday as the Department of Youths wrapped up a weeklong youth camp for 50 out of school youths at Teyateyaneng Thakaneng Youths Resource Centre.
She said currently youths are reluctant to take part in community issues like attending the public gatherings and in most cases their parents usually make decisions on their behalf and that always triggers an outcry, therefore encouraged them to participate so that they can voice out their views. . .
