YOUTH MEET UP TO INTROSPECT, BEACON OF HOPE AMIDST CHALLENGES

Maseru, Feb. 08 — In the face of daunting challenges such as widespread unemployment and a sense of aimlessness among the youth of Lesotho, a glimmer of hope emerges as young people decides to gather in Khubetsoana, Maseru, on Saturday to take charge of their destinies.

Mr. Motlatsi Mohlomi, one of the driving forces behind this initiative, articulated the purpose of the meet-up as providing a platform for youth to openly discuss the pressing issues affecting their lives.

With sincerity etched in his voice, Motlatsi emphasized the countless challenges confronting the youth in Khubetsoana, from substance abuse and early pregnancies to the looming specter of gang violence and theft.

Of particular concern was the surge in car thefts, a danger that has gripped the community in a stranglehold of fear and uncertainty. Motlatsi underscored the urgency of addressing this issue, asserting that without swift action, the fabric of their community would continue to fray, and the promise of a brighter future would remain elusive.
