Maseru, May.24—At least 40 young girls from different primary schools in Maseru district are currently being trained on hygiene during menstrual periods and making reusable and sustainable sanitary pads.
The training which is organized by Lesotho Girl Guides Association (LGGA) and termed Red Pride Week is part of marking the menstrual hygiene day which is on May 28.
LGGA Chief Commissioner Ms. Nompumelelo Nomngcongo said that the participants are trained on making reusable sanitary pads which she said are affordable and sustainable.
