WOMEN URGED TO TAKE LEADERSHIP ROLES

Berea, Aug 09 — As the world unite to observe African Women’s month, former member of parliament, Mrs. Mats’eliso Tuoane Seperiti has encouraged women to challenge their capabilities and eye for leadership roles.

Mrs. Seperiti made these remarks during an interview with the Agency on Wednesday.

She said the country is heading towards the Local Government elections and as a result that serves as the right platform where women can weigh their strengths and venture into community leadership roles.

Mrs. Seperiti said women usually shy away when given an opportunity to represent themselves due to societal norms and cultural issues, but they rather nominate men to represent them in elections and that is where they weaken themselves. . .
