Maseru, March 04 — Community from villages that include Thusong, Kubake, ‘Mamoholi and Mpobong in Makhaleng area still left helpless as a footbridge that connects them to St. Rodrique that washed away fIve years ago has still not been fixed leaving them stranded.
This has forced them not to attend clinics, doctor appointments as well as forcing school children to miss classes.
In an interview with St. Rodrique Community Councillor, Mrs. Matumahole Kelepa said as a council they have already made a request to the government to repair the damaged footbridge in 2023 to the Ministry of Works but have not received any feedback to date.
She said that the bridge does not only inconvenience the community but also pose danger especially during rainy days. TM/TL
