Maseru, Oct.05 — As part of her activities during her stay in Lesotho, the United Nations Deputy Secretary-General, Ms. Amina J. Mohammed, accompanied by Queen ‘Masenate Mohato Seeiso and the UN Resident Coordinator, Ms. Amanda Khozi Mukwashi visited the soon-to-be-launched Multi-Purpose Centre for Survivors of Gender-Based Violence (GBV) in Maseru.
The centre is designed to offer comprehensive support to survivors of GBV, including psychosocial services, medical care, legal services, childhood development services and livelihood skills training.
It is during this visit that the Deputy Secretary General and the Queen planted a tree at the centre as a symbolic gesture representing new beginnings for the survivors and a space for reflection, healing and hope. . .
