TRAGIC HERDING INCIDENT CLAIMS SIX-YEAR-OLD’S LIFE IN QACHA’S NEK 

Qacha’s Nek, Dec.06 — A six-year-old boy tragically lost his life in Qhoalinyane, Ha Letsooa, on December 02, 2024 after a 16-year-old allegedly rolled a rock from a steep slope, striking the younger child and killing him instantly.

The incident occurred around 2 p.m. at Ts’epeng pasture, where the two children were herding livestock.

In an interview with the Agency, Detective Sub-Inspector Thabo Setenane, Criminal Investigation Division (CID) Manager at Qacha’s Nek Police Station, confirmed that investigations are ongoing. 

“Once complete, the suspect will appear in court accompanied by a parent or guardian,” he stated. . .
