Berea, Mar 24 — Berea District Health Management Team (DHMT) District Tuberculosis (TB) Coordinator Ms. Lucy Tseka said through collaborative efforts, the team can win the battle against Tuberculosis (TB).
Berea District TB Coordinator made the remarks during the awareness campaign staged at Lioli high school on Monday as the country commemorates World Tuberculosis Day marked under a theme, “Commit, Invest, Deliver”.

Ms. Tseka said TB is one of the deadliest infectious diseases in the world and out of 195 global countries, Lesotho is ranked number one with a high rate of people infected with TB, hence the need to join efforts to eradicate TB at all costs.
She stressed that having left their respective offices forms part of a commitment to intensify awareness campaigns, also highlighting that the country is investing a lot in skills development, procurement of equipment, and delivery of services such as TB screening and others.

Berea TB Coordinator said TB is the contagious airborne disease which mostly affects lungs, it is advisable to always maintain good ventilation in crowded places like classrooms, public transport and others. . .
