Maseru, Oct. 03 — For the first time in recent years, the #Bachashutdown movement believes that this year’s Independence Day celebrations carry special significance, thanks to the government’s proactive response to youth unemployment.
Speaking with Advocate Tumelo Qophe, the movement’s president, he noted several positive steps the government has taken. Among them is the introduction of the National Youth Development Bill, which includes the establishment of the National Youth Council to address the concerns of young people.
Adv. Qophe also highlighted initiatives focused on Competitiveness and Financial Inclusion, aimed at increasing access to business support services and financial products, particularly for MSMEs (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises) and entrepreneurs, with a special focus on women and youth. . .
