Mafeteng, Feb. 14 — -The role of the District Administrator is to oversee the overall management, governance and service delivery, ensuring that districts needs are met and resources are effectively utilized through coordinating within various government ministries and other stakeholders at the district level.
He made the remarks during a one Day Basic Education Information and Communication Technology Policy and the Dessemination of the Learning Passport Online app held at the district on Thursday where he said he also coordinates and overseas the implementation and government polices.
He expressed gratitude over the Ministry of Education and Training for takining the training of Information and Communication Technology at the district as it is important particularly these days unlike in the past where majority of works were done manually.
Speaking at the same occasion the Ministry’s Inspector Computer Studies in the Department of Planning called on all stakeholders to ensure that information technology reaches all as COVID-19 has proved that online working is effective and in near future no teacher will be in front of children teaching pupild starting from Early Childhood Care and Development to secondary education.
