TEYATEYANENG WOMEN MARCH AGAINST BRUTAL KILLINGS

 Berea, March 04 — In demand for justice for Ha Kepi woman who was brutally killed by her boyfriend (33) who was also a police officer, hundreds of women from different parts of Berea joined the march to Teyateyaneng Magistrate Court on Tuesday to present their grievances.

The procession kicked off near the Blue Mountain Inn (BMI) hotel gates where the suspect stabbed to death the deceased women aged 29 of Lithabaneng, Ha Kepi on February 17, after both the suspect and the deceased were returning from Berea police station to be reunited after their clashes.

During the march, women were chanting on top of their voices that the suspect should be denied bail and they also called for the government to re-introduce the death sentence for such murderers.

When approached for a comment, Ha Mokhothu Chieftainess Mrs. Mabakoena Mokhothu said they are saddened by such a criminal act which happened during daylight and thus claiming the life of such a young woman, hence they saw a need to join the march for justice. RM/TL
