TEST TO TREAT MEDICATION FOR COVID-19 AVAILABLE

Maseru, Jan.25 — Following the launch of test to treat medication for COVID-19 otherwise Coronavirus is available in the country.

This was revealed by Jhpiego Technical Advisor Dr. Tiiso Lekhela at a one-day workshop where Risk Communication and Community Engagement (RCCE) COVID-19 teams from the 10 districts convened at Thaba-Bosiu.

She said that this is to provide one stop early detection of symptomatic COVID-19 infection by rapid antigen testing and treatment with approved oral and antiviral medication.

She said that this they are doing because COVID-19 still exists saying that they want to ensure that people are treated on early detection. She explained that the test and treat initiative is going to be piloted in nine government hospitals and one church being Machabeng, Quthing, Mafeteng, Berea, Mokhotlong, Botha-Bothe, Nts’ekhe, Motebang, Queen II and Paray . .
