Mokhotlong, Jan.16 — The Lesotho Highlands Development Authority (LHDA) Chief Executive Mr. Tente Tente says the authority has a clear procedure under which unskilled and skilled workers are recruited.
Mr. Tente said Article 11 of the Lesotho Highlands Water Project (LHWP) Phase II Agreement which talks about recruitment of personal, stated that preference order will first be given to Lesotho, South Africa, SADC region and then internationally.
He said this when addressing the concern raised by Members of Parliament (MPs) from Mokhotlong district following a list of unskilled labourers that was published on LHDA socials recently.

The concern was prompted by the realisation that not even one person from Mokhotlong appeared in the list and yet the Second phase of the project is being implemented in this district.
The issue was presented by the MP for Senqu Constituency Mr. Bolala Khesa on behalf of the other MPs from Mokhotlong at a meeting held in the district on Thursday. . .
