TEEN MOMS WARN OF HEALTH, SOCIAL, ECONOMIC CHALLENGES 

Maseru, Jul. 02– Teenage mothers have voiced the struggle of health, social and economic issues that come with adolescent pregnancy. 

While they discuss their issues, teenage pregnancy remains a challenge in Lesotho, with the adolescent birth rate as high as 94 per 1,000 girls aged 15-19. 

In an interview with some, Lieketseng Mosala from Sehlabeng stated that she became a mother at age 16 after she lost her parents and she had no one to look up to.
