Maseru, June 12 — A month after nutritional status of Basotho, particularly the under five has been declared a major challenge due to prevailing hunger and poverty, the country will today launch national nutrition campaign.
Food and nutrition stakeholders, different organisational flyers up against poverty and hunger at a city hotel, all have gathered to witness the auspicious occasion, which was postponed from January this year to June.
With the Head of State, King Letsie III being the Nutrition Champion, Basotho from different spheres namely: government officials, Parliamentarians including the Little High Profile Harvest FM radio representatives are also in the midst.
In an interview prior to the launch, Little Chef, Lebona Monare applauded the event spearheaded by Food and Nutrition Coordinating Office (FNCO), indicating nutrition remains an integral part if Lesotho is to have physically and mentally well citizens.
