Maseru, Nov.05 — The SADC Mission in Mozambique (SAMIM) Head of Mission Planning and Evaluation Component (HOM MPEC) Brigadier General (Brig Gen.) Dithupa welcomed the newly deployed Lesotho Defence Force (LDF) Contingent in Nangade district of Cabo Delgado Province in Mozambique during his visit to the Contingent’s Forward Operating Base (FOB).
In his remarks during this visit, Brigadier General Dithupa said that the purpose of the visit was mainly to evaluate and assess the impact of the work done by SAMIM and to engage with the new Lesotho FOB Commander Lt. Col. Tšeliso Serobanyane.
Brigadier General Dithupa said that they hope this troop is going to do well as their predecessors as they laid a very strong foundation for them to walk on. He also urged FOB Commander Lieutenant Colonel (Lt. Col.) Tšeliso Serobanyane to learn from Commando Colonel (Cdo Col) Tefo Ramosie as pioneer of SAMIM deployment and strongly urged Lesotho Contingent to continue collaborating with local forces in eradication of insurgency
