Maseru, Mar. 17 — The Southern African Development Community (SADC) is set to convene on Monday to discuss the escalating crisis in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
This meeting follows SADC’s recent decision to withdraw its peacekeeping troops from the DRC.
In his opening remarks, Zimbabwe’s Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs and International Trade, Ambassador [Name], emphasized the urgency of the situation, noting that despite SADC’s efforts, the conflict continues to intensify. He called for a collective effort from all SADC member countries to address the crisis.
