RSL BOTHA BOTHE FACES CHALLENGES

Botha-Bothe, Dec. 27 — Ms. Likeleli Leu, the Team Leader of Revenue Services Lesotho (RSL), has highlighted ongoing challenges faced by the team concerning Basotho individuals who lack passports but have purchased goods in South Africa (SA).

In an interview with the agency, Leu explained that the current requirement is for individuals who have purchased goods in South Africa to possess a passport stamped to indicate crossing the border with the purchased items. This stamp should be present on both the buyer’s receipt and the passport.

Ms. Leu pointed out the difficulties encountered when dealing with Basotho citizens who claim not to have passports on both the SA and Lesotho sides. . .
