RFP LOSES NATIONAL ASSEMBLY SEATS

Maseru, Oct. 03 — Dismissal of three Members of Parliament (MPs) from Revolution for Prosperity (RFP) means the party has lost three seats in the National Assembly.

This was said by the National University of Lesotho Political Analyst Dr. Tlohang Letsie in an interview with the Agency, following dismissal of Dr. Mahali Phamotse, Mr. Jacob Makhalanyane and Mr. Rethabile Letlailana from RFP and the trio are MPs for Matlakeng, Abia and Lithoteng respectively.

Dr. Letsie added that the party could also lose the seats of those who could be interceptive to dismissed MPs, saying the party could find itself looking for parties that could support and replace the lost seats.

He added that small parties such as Lesotho Congress for Democracy and HOPE among others which announced that they support the government through the Prime Minister could incorporate and be part of the government.
