RETSÉLISITSOE SAFELY HOME AFTER MISSING FOR OVER A WEEK

Maseru, March 4 — The Lephaila family has breathed a sigh of relief as their son, Retsélisitsoe Lephaila, who went missing on February 25 has been found safe.

According to a statement released by the family, Mr. Lephaila was found in Durban, in accordance with the leads provided and he arrived home yesterday.

The family, while expressing gratitude for the overwhelming support received during the search for their son, has requested privacy during this time. They have thanked everyone who assisted in locating Retsélisitsoe, adding that further details will be communicated at a later date.

Meanwhile, Mr. Thabang Lephaila, Retsélisitsoe’s younger brother, did confirm his brother’s disappearance and shared that Retsélisitsoe was last seen boarding a bus to Durban.

He also mentioned that Retsélisitsoe’s travel documents, including his National Identity (ID) are missing, further corroborating his trip to Durban.

Expressing concern for his brother’s well-being, Mr. Lephaila stated that the family has no known relatives or friends in Durban where Retsélisitsoe could have stayed.

He highlighted that the transaction made by Retsélisitsoe last Saturday was insufficient to sustain him for an extended period in a foreign country.

Mr. Retsélisitsoe Lephaila was employed as a teacher at Sefika High School.

His sudden disappearance raised concerns among his family and community members, as there were no reported arguments or conflicts with his wife or any family member before he left home on Sunday morning for a soccer match and failed to return.

The safe return of Retsélisitsoe Lephaila has brought immense relief to his family and friends, ending over a week of anxious searching and uncertainty.
