Quthing, July 19 — The Quthing District Council has been allocated more than two million development funds for implementation of development activities in the district.
In an interview with the Agency, the District Council Assistant Economic Planner, Mr. Khotso Nokoana said the money will be utilized for extension and maintenance of clean water supply projects in six councils of the district that comprise of five community councils that cover out of town villages and Urban Council villages within Urban boundaries
He highlighted that councilors from their respective councils are expected to agree on clean water supply projects to be maintained and extended, after which the projects will be taken to the district department of Rural Water Supply (RWS) for costing of the project in preparation for tendering procedures prior to implementation.
The Assistant Economic Planner said the district department of RWS will be responsible for supervision of clean water supply projects to ensure sustainable implementation of projects.
