Maseru, Mar. 01 – Her Majesty Queen ‘Masenate Mohato Seeiso commended Econet and its partners for their unwavering dedication to education and youth empowerment.
Her Majesty was speaking at Econet Higher Life Foundation 7th annual Golf Day event which was held in Maseru on Friday night for support towards young people in Lesotho, where over M1 million was raised.
He that it is through collaborative efforts like these that the country can create a lasting impact in the lives of many young Basotho as investing in education is investing in the future of our nation.
As custodian of the Education sector in the country, Minister of Education and Training Professor Ntoi Rapapa, acknowledged the immense contributions made through Higherlife Foundation Lesotho’s scholarships and other learning interventions.
Prof. showed that he was happy that through these scholarships and support, close to 6000 students are pursuing their dreams at various educational institutions from High Schools in Lesotho, colleges in Zimbabwe, South Africa and eSwatini to Universities in the United States.
