Maseru, May 16 — Presitex Enterprises workers are back at work after the factory was temporarily closed on Wednesday.
In a brief interview, Minister of Labour and Employment Mr. Tšeliso Mokhosi confirmed this saying that it has reopened under new interim management as of today (Thursday).
On the other hand, National Clothing and Textile and Allied Workers Union (NACTWU) Deputy Secretary General Mr. Tšepang Makakole said that they are glad that the factory has reopened and workers are back at work.
He said that they have been informed that the factory will be run by interim management as the previous management is being investigated by the Directorate on Corruption and Economic Offenses (DCEO).
Presitex Enterprises, owned by CGM Industrial, is an active garment manufacturer, which has been dormant since 2008. Presitex Enterprises is the manufacturer for Levi Strauss, Enzo Jeans, Mr. Price and Edgars.
