POOR RELATIONSHIPS LEAD TO SUBSTANCE ABUSE 

Mohale’s Hoek, Sept.14 — A 20-year-old youth from Likhutlong states that poor relationship between parents and youths lives them vulnerable to substance abuse and other criminal activities.

Mohale Pebane noted this during an interview with the Agency at the boot camp facilitated by the Ministry of Gender, Youth and Social Development for about 50 out of school youths from ages of 14 to 19, courtesy of UNICEF and Selemela Learning Network.

The District Youth Development Officer Mrs. ‘Mampho Makharilele, who is of the view that being out of school is a contributing factor to some of the problems encountered by youth, noted that capacitating them on life skills issues like decision making, business and entrepreneurship and civic engagement, can help them see life differently. . .
