Maseru, Sept. 20– Prime Minister (PM) Mr. Ntsokoane Matekane will partake at the 79th session of the UN General Assembly commencing from September 20 ending on September 27 New York, United States of America (USA).
Press attaché in the PM’s office, Mr. Thapelo Mabote said the PM has left with his entourage to the US which comprises the Ministers of Foreign Affairs and International Relations, Lejone Mpotjoane, Finance and Development Planning, Rets’elisitsoe Matlanyane, Communications, Science and Technology, Nthati Moorosi.
World leaders will engage in the high-level General Debate which this year has the theme, “Leaving no one behind: acting together for the advancement of peace, sustainable development and human dignity for present and future generations.”
The General Assembly meets annually in regular session, intensively from September to December, and resumes in January until all issues on the agenda are addressed.
