PHATS’OANE GIVES PRIORITY TO OFFICIATING DOMESTIC LEAGUE

Maseru, May 19 — Decorated Lesotho Football Association (LeFA) Assistant Referee, Mr. Souru Phats’oane says he always gives priority to officiating in domestic league games more than international matches.

Mr. Phats’oane was part of the match officials during the last 2023/2024 Vodacom Premier League match between Lioli and Matlama played at the Teyateyaneg Stadium on Saturday.

He told the Agency on Sunday ahead of his appointment to be part of the officiating team tasked by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) to handle the second leg of the CAF Champions final when Egyptian giants, Al Ahly hosts ES Tunis of Tunisia at Cairo International Stadium on Saturday that officiating domestic league matches is his priority number one.

The soft-spoken Mr Phats’oane denied that he used the Lioli FC versus Matlama FC league match as a warm up saying actually that was his priority.
