Maseru, Nov.03 — As Public Officers Defined Pension Fund marked it’s 15 years anniversary, it held an annual member engagement forum in Maseru on Friday.
The forum which saw a great number of the fund’s members and representatives of alliance of public servants associations (COLEPE) was intended for Board of trustees and secretariat to account to public servants and all stakeholders and sponsors of fund as government of Lesotho.
In his remarks Minister of Labour, Employment and Public Service Mr. Richard Ramoeletsi said that this event is demonstration to the fore sight and wisdom of the board and embedded in the governance of this institution.
He said that in 2008 the government under ministries of Finance and Public Service took a forward thinking step by establishing the public officers defined pension fund which marked a pivotal departure from the eastward unfunded benefit scheme. . .
