PASSPORTS ARE AVAILABLE – LEPHEMA

Maseru, Feb.03—Minister of Local Government, Chieftainship, Home Affairs and Police Mr. Lebona Lephema says that passports are now available and being issued to Basotho.

This he confirmed in an interview on Saturday where he said that about 10 000 passports arrived on January 26 and issuance has started since Monday this week.

This is after he had announced that passports would be available from January 22 for all those who had applied but that did not happen. Basotho went to the Passport Services from January 22 but returned empty handed as there were no passports.

Passports have been unavailable since early last year thus leaving Basotho stranded to the extent that others lost their jobs in South Africa. . .
