Maseru, Feb.18 — President and Chief Executive of Nutrition International Mr. Joel Spicer on Tuesday handed over report of a fact finding mission of the NI team that was carried out in September 2024 to King Letsie III in the presence of Prime Minister, Speaker of the National Assembly, Ministers, senior government officials and development partners in Maseru.
This auspicious event coincides with the silver anniversary of their Majesties’ wedding with the King being the African Union Nutrition Champion. It also saw the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Nutrition International and Lesotho.
Mr. Spicer has been in the country since last Saturday on the invitation of King Letsie III after they met in Ottawa in June 2024 and requested that he sent fact finding mission.
In his remarks, King Letsie III said that this occasion marks significant efforts of the country in eradicating malnutrition.
He thanked Spicer and team for sacrificing time and being with them to celebrate this achievement.
