Maseru, May 21 — The National University of Lesotho (NUL) through its Senate has urged students, Staff, Roma community and the nation at large to be on high alert as there is a group of students making threats to disrupt examinations and burn down other properties including the library and other personal properties again.
This comes after a group of students last Monday caused mayhem and burned the guard house, furniture and documents in the Students Representative Council (SRC) offices as well as desks, the main door and the floor at the Netherlands Hall.
According to the statement of the Senate, the Management is investigating these acts and will take appropriate disciplinary action against the perpetrators.
Therefore the Senate called upon all to frown against these extreme acts of destruction that disturb the peace that has prevailed on campus and caused havoc to the university calendar.
