Maseru, May.26 — Following the National University of Lesotho (NUL) “shutdown” by students on Wednesday, the university Senate has resolved to suspend examinations.
This surfaced during the meeting which was held on Friday (today) where it was stated that the first years examinations will be suspended until Monday to give government time to commit on students’ grievances in an official writing therefore examinations will continue on Tuesday, May 30th.
Again, that all students from first year to completing students will receive full allowances of rent and food allowance on a date they will put in writing while all unsponsored students will get sponsorship and the government will commit in writing.
