Maseru, Oct. 18 — The National University of Lesotho (NUL) joins the Mboweni family and the Republic of South Africa in mourning the loss of the former Governor of South African Reserve Bank and Minister in the departments of Labour and Finance, Mr. Tito Mboweni.
Mboweni was a student at NUL in the 1980s when he fled from South Africa (SA) during the apartheid government.
In its statement, the institution says Mboweni was a towering figure in all spheres in which he has been influential, leaves an indelible mark and legacy of hard work, dedication, integrity and excellence, traits which he upheld with distinction and consistency in all the various roles he has played.
