NSDF WORKSHOP PAVES WAY FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT IN QACHA’S NEK

Qacha’sNek, Jan. 15 —  In a critical move toward tackling land mismanagement and promoting sustainable growth, the Ministry of Local Government, Chieftainship, Home Affairs and Police convened a consultative workshop in Qacha’s Nek on Wednesday.

The one-day session brought together key stakeholders, including Heads of Departments and physical planners to collaborate on the creation of the District Spatial Development Framework (NSDF), a strategic tool designed to guide the country’s land use, housing, and infrastructure development.

This initiative comes at a crucial time as Lesotho grapples with challenges such as illegal settlements, uncoordinated development and unsustainable land use.

The NSDF aims to address these issues by promoting coordinated and responsible development, ensuring a more sustainable future.
