Maseru, Mar. 14 — People who need drivers licenses will have to go through driving schools before such document is issued.
This was said by Department of Traffic and Transport Operations Manager, Mr. Maama Letsie at a press conference held at Ha Foso on Thursday which also brought together driving school representatives with the objective to present before the media, plan to change the method of issuing drivers licenses.
Mr. Letsie said both the department and driving schools came up with this plan to address a challenge of escalating road accidents in the country due to motorists who lack proper driving skills.
He indicated that currently everybody who needs a drivers’ license will have to attend lessons through a driving school.
