MURDER TRIAL RESUMES  

Maseru, Nov.21— Following its adjournment last month, a case in which Qamo Matela is charged with the murder of his wife Mahlompho Matela, born Rethabile Mofolo, today resumed before the High Court.  

The case proceeded with admissions of statements comprising two from doctors who dealt with the deceased at Maseru Private Hospital, one from a neighbour who was called to assist the family before the deceased could be taken to hospital and two identifying statements. 

The doctors’ statements have revealed that the deceased was attended to at the Hospital with two episodes of convulsion adding that the deceased reported that she was assaulted by her husband prior to that. They further added that she had a bruise around her left eye as well as head injury secondary to assault. They indicated that she was referred to a hospital in Bloemfontein, South Africa and a psychiatrist was suggested as domestic abuse was ongoing. . .
