Maseru, Feb.20 — It has been a norm with previous governments to reshuffle cabinet at least twice or thrice within the five year term but the current government has since its inception in 2022 not reshuffled.
However, there has been news making social media rounds that the country might see the first reshuffle of Prime Minister Mr. Ntsokoane Matekane.
It is alleged that the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Relations Mr. Lejone Mpotjoane will be booted out and replaced by Lesotho’s candidate for the Commonwealth Secretary Mr. Joshua Setipa.
In a brief interview, Mr. Mpotjoane has rubbished these allegations saying that it is utter nonsense.
He said that the very same views of his dismissal were in the past weeks shared by the leader of Basotho National Party (BNP) during his media briefing saying that he is not surprised the newspaper that published the story exactly as BNP Leader had said it.
