MOTORISTS URGED TO DRIVE CAUTIOUSLY IN SNOW

Maseru, June 04 — Motorists are urged to be patient and drive slowly as much as they can as the snow continues to fall.

Road Safety Officer Mr. Setsoto Putsoa appealed to motorists in an interview with the Agency to increase their following distances enough so that they could have plenty of time to stop for vehicles ahead of them.

“Motorists must be aware that the road is slippery due to snow and must be patient with one another and avoid overtaking” he added.

He also advised them to switch on lights so that they could be visible, encouraging those who are not forced by circumstances to leave their houses to stay indoors.
