Botha-Bothe, July 17 — As Botha-Bothe welcomes His Majesty King Letsie III, multitudes are seen flocking to the Botha-Bothe Pitso House where the celebration will be held.
School children, who are set to form a mass choir are already arriving from different schools around the district. Numerous children and adults have gathered to watch and witness the celebration of His Majesty.
Various performance groups are also arriving to entertain the crowds. Inside the pitch, the Lesotho Defence Force (LDF) is preparing for a parade.
Speaking to LDF’s Public Affairs, Second Lieutenant Matlhoholonolofatso Mokuena explained that, unlike previous years where the parade commenced after His Majesty was seated, this year the parade will be ready and waiting for him upon his arrival.
Dignitaries from Lesotho’s development partners are also arriving, including the Ambassador of the United Kingdom and the Ambassador of the United States of America.
Street vendors are out in full force, taking advantage of the business opportunities presented by today’s event.
