Mafeteng, April 17 — The community of Ha Monyalotsa Bolikela Metsi-Maholo Community Council has expressed concern over shortage of electricity within their area.
In an interview with the Community Councilor in the Area, Mr. Motlatsi Nkati said it is years members of the community living without electricity in the area even though some of the surrounding villages have electricity.
He highlighted that like any other villages even before he was elected as a community councillor they establish electricity scheme whereby every household interested in having electricity was contributing some money whereby they agreed that each household should pay M500.00 as the beginning fund but even today still there is no electricity and some of the interested household members have been died.
Mr. Nkati indicated since then previous governments through their parliamentarians have promised to install electricity but till today there is no such thing, calling to the government of Lesotho through the involved Ministry of Natural Resource to hear their cry.
