Maseru, Mar. 25 — Senior Nursing Officer Mohlomi hospital says the institution has a drug rehabilitation corner only for its clients and it is not open to everybody.
Mrs. ‘Mantoa Maholi-Rampeta said this in an interview with the Agency following allegations on the safety of patients, drug smuggling and untidiness of the hospital among others.
She said that drug rehabilitation needs to have its own centre or facility opened, saying that due to lack of human resource and infrastructure they are only able to offer drug rehabilitation to their clients.
She said that drug abuse is a major challenge in the country and they have realized that most of their clients have used drugs which has also contributed to their mental problems. AT/TL
