Maseru, Jan. 18 – The Minister of Agriculture, Food Security and Nutrition Mr. Thabo Mofosi has confirmed that borders will open on Friday for fertile eggs and frozen Chicken from South Africa (SA).
He made the confirmation at a press conference held in Maseru on Thursday, saying the Ministry and its South African counterparts will select areas where the above-mentioned poultry products will be bought.
“SA still needs to provide the country with proper certificates for areas where fertile eggs and frozen chicken will be bought,” he said.
The Minister further said the country will however have to check the bird flu status and determine if SA will continue providing Lesotho with poultry going forward. . .
