Mafeteng, Feb. 24 — The Ministry of Agriculture, Food Security and Nutrition through the Department of Marketing will hold a Market Day at Agricultural Show Ground on March 06.
In an interview with the District Extension Officer, Mr. Polao Tlali said the activity is for the local farmers to display their agricultural products such as vegetables, fruits, handicrafts and animal products including different types of fodder.
He highlighted that the other objective of the day was for the farmers to come together and share ideas on how best they could continue producing quality farming products regardless of the current challenge of climate change, saying with or without the challenge members of the community had to live hence the initiative.
The District extension Officer further indicated that it is during this day where farmers are expected to meet with consumers to satisfy their needs ensuring that consumers will know the right places to get agricultural products rather than incurring expenses of travelling to other districts for their agricultural needs while they are having such goods close to them.
