Maseru, Oct.03 — The Minister of Agriculture, Food Security and Nutrition Mr. Thabo Mofosi received agricultural equipment from the government of the Republic of Korea at the event held at Ha Foso, Berea on Thursday.
The equipment, which included 12 tractors, 12 ploughs, four harrows and two maize plants was handed over to the Minister by the Embassy of the Republic of Korea to Lesotho.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Mofosi expressed gratitude to the government of Korea for supporting the initiatives of the Lesotho government with regard to increasing agricultural production and productivity by donating agricultural machinery for cereal production in order to address national and household food insecurity.
“This equipment will contribute significantly in increasing agricultural production in the country, especially in crop and fodder production” he added. . .
