MINISTER ATONT’SI PRESENTS EQUIPMENT CWTs
Quthing, April 11 — The Minister of Environment and Forestry, Mr. Letsema Atont’si, on Thursday presented equipment aiding in land rehabilitation and improvement of livelihood activities to community water teams (CWT), from various areas in Sebapala Integrated Watershed Management Catchment project area, at an event held at Tosing community council premises.
Speaking at the same event, Mr. Adonts’si said the equipment which also comprised food parcels is presented for motivation of more than 1500 project beneficiaries, who have been voluntarily engaged in land rehabilitation and environment management at different activities for improvement of their livelihoods.
Mr. Adonts’i who is also the member of parliament for Mokhotlong constituency, stated that the government and partners appreciate effort and commitment of the community in land rehabilitation works linked to issues of land degradation, livelihoods, food and water security.
He added that there is a need for the attraction of more community members in voluntary implementation of the project activities for its sustainability. NK/TL
