MICSTI, PARTNERS STRATEGISE 

Mohale’s Hoek, June.17 — With the purpose of constructing an integrated work plan and strategic planning, the Ministry of Information, Science, Technology and Innovation has held a 2-day workshop for senior ministry officers in partnership with development partners and key ministries on a joined project. 

The Ministry’s Principal Secretary Mr. Kanono Leronti Ramashamole stated that, government’s intention is to ensure that all Basotho have access to digital services irrespective of where they live, but noted the main challenge is that there is no coordination within development partners in terms of aligning the initiatives from the same components, hence this integration workshop.

Mr. Ramashamole who indicated that the Government is aiming at connecting digital programmes to about 40 schools both primaries and high schools, stated that the Ministry is currently providing 74 services of digital programmes, stating the plan is roll it up by also connecting Community Councils. . .
