Maseru, May 24 — Care, protection and welfare of the elderly were main issues discussed during media workshop held in Maseru on Wednesday.
The workshop, whose objective was to promote knowledge, understanding and appreciation among members of the media regarding elderly care issues and service as well as issues associated with it was organised by Department of Social Development.
Speaking at the event, Director Elderly Care Services Mrs. Matebello Marite emphasised need to work jointly with the media to ensure the rights of the elderly are protected and are cared for.
