Maseru, July 17 — The community of Maseru district joined the rest of the nation to celebrate the King’s birthday at the event held at Rothe on Wednesday.
The ceremony, which was led by the Principal Chief of Rothe Chieftainess Nthuping Bereng brought together some Members of Parliament, former Maseru District Administrators and Senior government officials amongst others.
Speaking at the event, Chieftainess Bereng wished the King a happy birthday, asking God to bless him with many more years so that he could continue leading the nation with peace.
She also called on Basotho to unite and maintain peace as the founder of this nation, King Moshoeshoe I, loved peace hence the celebration of 200 years of Basotho nation.
