LMPS, FARMERS TO DIG INTO STOCKTHEFT

Leribe, July 12 — With the purpose of overcoming and curbing stock theft, Lesotho Mounted Police Service (LMPS) will on August 2 this year hold a one day meeting with farmers, Community Policing Committees and chiefs from Berea,Leribe, Butha Buthe and Mokhotlong districts on the venue yet to be announced.

This comes after the unsuccessful meeting which was scheduled for today ( Wednesday) due to failure of attendance by farmers and chiefs.

Addressing the issue, Senior Inspector Matlotlo Mphohla reminded that the meeting is the result of the petition that was made by farmers to the commissioner of police.
