Mokhotlong, Feb.27 — The residents of Ha Letjama in the district have requested the government for re-construction of foot bridge to enable them to cross the Senqu river safely.
One of the residents, Mr. Falla Letjama (67), said they need a footbridge to be replaced to help them to move from their village to Mokhotlong town on safely and in time.
He said since the foot bridge that connected Ha Letjama with town was washed away with floods in 2021, they now have to walk long distance from their village to Sekokong to get a public transport to convey them to town.

“We walk two hours to arrive at Sekokong and that is too long as compared to the time we used to take when the foot bridge was still available,” he clarified.
Sharing similar sentiments was one of the Community Councillors of Maitisi, Mr. Lets’olo Teke who said availability of the footbridge will reduce the time they take to arrive in town from different villages that used to benefit from the Ha Letjama foot bridge. . .
