LESOTHO’S FINANCIAL SERVICES EXPECTED TO IMPROVE

Maseru, May 17 — The utilization of artificial intelligence towards automating all manual payments comes in as a vital initiative towards developing services in the Kingdom of Lesotho.

This emerged at the official launch of the technical assistance programme between the government of Lesotho through the Central Bank of Lesotho (CBL), European Union and the World Bank.

In her keynote address, the Minister of Finance and Development Planning Dr. Rets’elisitsoe Matlanyane said that this programme comes at an opportune time that the country is left behind in financial literacy.

She said that the government of Lesotho is committed towards the development of the country which is indicated by partnerships that the country is engaging in towards such developments in countries to improve their financial literacy.
